Milan Attractions
Museum of Ancient Art - Piazza Castello. This museum is housed in the Castle Sforzesco, after extensive bombing during WWII it was restored. There are many excellent exhibitions at the museum, including sculptures from the 4th century A.D.; medieval art mostly from Lombardy;,and some armor.
Monumental Cemetery - Piazzale Cimitero Monumentale 1. This cemetry has been the final resting place for Milan's elite for the over 100 years. This outdoor museum is one of the most popular attractions in Milan with many outstanding sights, including a sculpted version of The Last Supper; Art Nouveau sculpture; and Liberty-style architecture in a chapel built to hold the remains of Arturo Toscanini's son.
Collegio di Brera - Via Brera 28. This building was the originaly used to house the Jesuit College, building started in 1571 and was completed in 1615. The building is centred on a courtyard, which consists of a double order with a double staircase opposite the entrance.
Teatro alla Scala - This theatre, commonly known as La Scala, has been a treat for Opera fans for over 200 years. Although briefly closed due to damage sustained during the war, La Scala is going stronger than ever.
San Siro - Home to Milan's two famous football clubs the San Siro is an incredible sight. Even more amazing is the atmosphere inside the stadium on match day.
